Well, I think I have figured out at least part of the issue. If you have disabled the creation of 8.3 filenames, it will cause this problem every time. Try uninstalling the databridge and scanner, then change "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation" from REG_DWORD = 1 to 0. Then reinstall scanner and databridge. After spending hours slamming my head against the wall trying to figure this one out, I found the cause, the following file (issDaemon.policy) had and incorrect entry in it referring to the Internet Scanner executable. Once the reference was changed to the correct exe name, the sensor came up into the normal "idle" status mode.
