Hi!

I've tried to install it on a Dell Poweredge 2600 and it is just
one problem after the other. First I tried it with Win2k Professional.
The OS works without any problems, but Internet Scanner (IS) was acting
very strangely. It would crash and just be extremely unstable. Then, I
tried it with Win2k Server, same problems. With IS 7, I tried it with
XP Professional on that Poweredge machine, and it would randomly lock
up.

It's rather strange because the OS works perfectly fine and has
never crashed, along with the other apps that were on there (IE: Office,
etc...) But, whenever a scan is run, I always have problems with it.
Hopefully IS will run better on a HP than a Dell server. ;-)

Good Luck!

Mike

Tim did you try installing Win Y2K pro on HP servers...should not be a
problem!! Except you might need to get drivers etc. since servers are
not meant for desktop OSs hence HP doesn't recommend or certify.

Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me, it is a kind of order
that sets me free to fly.

Tim

It does work, naturally ISS dont recommend doing it, but it happily
runs. The main issue found is that it takes longer to perform scan due
to issues with 2kserver
