Sorry for interfering with your post but...

I am trying for some time now to make RS NS v7.0 work with CP2000 v4.1
SP3 but with no luck. I have followed what was supposed to get the job
done but all I get is a "failed to authenticate"... I have NATed the RS
NS v7.0 to an IP Address on the LAN where the FW-1 resides, I've made
the necessary Objects and rules, I've configured anti-spoofing correctly
but all I get is this annoying error message and offcourse OPSEC is not
working. Do you have any experience that you could share with me or
poropably a document or something?

As for your question... I believe that you should install CP NG
Management Server in Backwards Compatibility mode. Try the following
link:

SQLPbNg&p_lva=&p_faqid=781&p_created=1014591229&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9ncml

Or better, "Answer ID: 781".

Thanks,

Dimitris.

Subject: [ISSForum] ISS Network Sensor 7 with CPNG

Hi,

I'm going to upgrade my CheckPoint 4.1 running on Solaris 7 to
CheckPoint NG FP3 on Solaris 8.

We have ISS Network Sensor 7 currently working with the FW 4.1 on
Opsec. Will ISS Network Sensor 7 still work if I upgrade both CP and
Solaris in 64 bit mode.

Thank for any advise.

Cheers
