Hi

The answer to this is in knowledgebase article 1953 - there is
a possibility that a SNMP trap generated by ISS may trigger a
SNMP alert, and therefore cause a feedback loop and a DoS.

However, if your physical design is suitable, and you are
prepared to take the risk, opening the policy in "simple edit"
mode will allow you to change the setting.

A similar restriction is placed on enabling the e-mail response
for e-mail alerts.

Subject: [ISSForum] SNMP disappear on POLICY

Dear All

I have a problem about RealSecure

I'm using RealSecure

Windows NT4
Network Sensor 7.0.2002.155(MU21.1)
Console 6.7
Event collector 6.5.2002.304(SR 1.5)

My problem is I cannot set policy to send trap when

there're some events I'm interesting to event collector

Because the policy has only

DISPLAY
RSKILL
LOGDB
VIEWSESSION
EMAIL
LOG EVIDENCE

Where's SNMP ??
