Eric,

You need to apply the XPUs on the local console as well because that will update the local DB.

Hope it helps.

Subject: [ISSForum] SiteProtector & Internet Scanner's lack of reporting

I recently added one of our Internet Scanner 7 machines into SiteProtector to perform our scans and pour the information into a single database. After doing a test scan to look at the vulnerabilities through SiteProtector I noticed that I'm not going to be able to do all of the reports like you find in the Internet Scanner Console. Am I missing something or can you just not run all the usual Internet Scanner reports through SiteProtector.

The reason I ask is that we are about to perform an enterprise wide quarterly scan and I want to be able to turn over the Line Technician and Executive Reports usually generated in Internet Scanner to our Systems Admins. Apparently, this is not possible through SiteProtector. The only solution I have thought of is to change the registry on the Scanner machine to retain the database and run my reports from that machine. Is ISS going to include those reporting features in SiteProtector so I can do everything from one console?
