I have had the same problem recently, but using the EngineMgr CLI with a
custom policy. Everytime I download an XPU, I have to open the scanner
console, edit the policy and just save it (without actually changing
anything) This is really annoying as several of my scans scheduled for
off-hours have aborted because of this.

It would be nice if ISS would fix the product so you could just run it from
the command line without having to always open up the GUI to apply updates.

I use site protector 2.0 to control Internet Scanner 7.0.
Got the fail message "Invalid policy format" at Site Protector console
How  to solve it?

Pls help.
