I have a problem that tech support cannot solve (at least not yet). 1. Updated a SiteProtector server to SP3. Updated Desktop Controller - everything. Updates installed fine.
2. Logon to SP via console. 3. Downloads updates. Uninstalls old console, installs new one. No problems. 3. Launch console again. It downloads repository updates. Console works but is tremendously slow on some property pages. 4. The next time I go to launch the console it downloads the SAME repository updates. In fact, every time I launch the console, it keeps upgrading the same repository components. I have tried the following things, all of which failed to solve this problem: 1. Uninstalling and reinstalling console. 2. Copying the entire Console directory from the local SP server (where this problem does not exist) over to the remote system. 3. Rebooting the system (many times) 4. Installing an OLDER console and then upgrading that. 5. Copying the registry settings from a known-good machine to one of the affected machines. Nothing works. I've decided this must be a problem with the Application Server. I've sifted through every log file I can find with no success. Any ideas? ___________________________________ Andrew Plato, CISSP President/Principal Consultant Anitian Enterprise Security 503-644-5656 Office 503-644-8574 Fax 503-201-0821 Mobile www.anitian.com ___________________________________ _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo
