I've just installe NS7 under Linux RH7.3 with kernel 2.4.18-10 (it was downloaded form ISS Site) and it wass installed sucessfully. Then I copy may sp_con_serverconsole_1024.PubKey and sp_con_serverconsole_1536.PubKey files into /opt/ISS/issSensors/network_sensor_1/Keys/RSA directory.
I openned my SiteProtector Console and register very well the sensor.
The problem is that on console sensor activity is "stopped". I look into /var/log/message files and I found this error:
dic 2 14:50:38 mig9 ISS[1968]: (network_sensor_1) - OnError from 148.242.161.253: An error occurred accessing the local copy of the peer credentials. Ensure that the peer's public key has been copied to the correct location on this system. [ID=0xc7200002]
SP Console is under a private network and it reaches Internet throuht a FW using NAT. I change my /etc/hosts file to this:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
148.242.161.197 mig9.dot.com mig9
148.242.161.253 f117.dot.com f117
Ip 148.242.161.253 is from firewall but I change it so resolution may be a problem. But this error ocrus , I also change file issCSF.policy as README says. to
[\Config\]
SensorIP =S 148.242.161.197;
----------------------------------------------------------
Does PublicKey is hardened with IP from Console? So NAT would it fail??? This machine has installed a montth before Windows but for performance situations Linux was installed.
HELP: :-D
