Tyson,

I'm currently developing a plan using the event collector stacking feature to send a duplicate event data stream to a separate SiteProtector located at a remote site.  There are TCO issues with running two systems vs using a SAN-mirror/Cluster combination, but client did not want to explore complexity of SAN-mirror/Cluster.  Have talked with ISS engineers and have seen info posted on this forum regarding ability to cluster the Enterprise Database.  I do not believe a formal ISS document has been release yet but know it was in the works last time I talked to the ISS engineer.  I explored the SAN-mirror/Cluster concept as my client requirement is to have the redundant systems geographically separate (thousands of miles apart) for DR purposes.

Subject: [ISSForum] Redundant SiteProtector

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else has looked at doing (or completed) an installation of a redundant SiteProtector system with two separate management consoles, we've thought of doing a SQL cluster type arrangement but that may not work in all circumstances (some separate sites without high bandwidth connections) so I was wondering to hear what other people have done and what their experiences were.

Regards
Tyson
