Hi,
I have
MRTG configured to monitor my servers network activity.
When i
installed a server sensor on one of the servers the out bound traffic get stuck
on a certain level as if snmp fail to work.
However, inbound traffic is still showin correct. And from my experience
in MRTG when the graph gets stuck on a certain level, it means the mrtg has stop
which is not the case.
The
same senario i have on monitory an internal ISA server. ( being monitired from
it external interface):
- the traffic ( both inbound and outbound) of the internal
interface is be shown OK on MRTG.
- the inbount traffic on the exteranl interface is
ok
- the outbound traffic is suck at a level ( straigh line) of around
140kb.
I
checked the the inbound traffic on the SiteProtector Machine and the data does
not match in no way that of the one reported from the
sensors.
I
tried and empty policy on the sensor and the same problems
occurs.
When i
turn off the sensor ,in particular the issDaemon, the MRTG graph goes back to
normal.
I was
wondering is it a resource conflict or perhaps server sensor is locking this
specific snmp OID?
