Subject: [ISSForum] SiteProtector SP3

1-I have installed several fresh installations of SiteProtector SP3.
I have noticed that the memory consumption have increased even without the addition of sensors.
a - There are many process running behind the scenes that could cause this but to determine specifically you may need to work trough Technical Support.

2- The database maintenance utility is great. But why did we loose the instant option of purging the database?
A - Purging on demand can still be accomplished by resetting the scheduled time for automated purging to occur.

3-In the server Protection category, what is the Proventia server?????
A - This is in preparation for an upcoming sensor release.

4-Can we have the Option of downloading the Updates, then installing it.
A - You can apply XPU's manually in this manner.  see chapter 2 section D of the console user's guide.

I had my Internet scanner updated from the IS console as far as XPU 9.
i updated my sensor using SiteProtector today till XPU 14 ( 100MB +)
I am a bit confused regarding the XPU 10 issue. Do i need to uninstall it?
Can i safely update my IS console too?

Regards,
WN
