Hi,
Has anyone experience any problems with the realsecure module for
Apache? I have been rolling out ISS Server Sensor v7.0 to a number of
Solaris 8 Servers running Apache. Apache has not been compiled with the
mod_ssl module on any of the servers. However, after installing the
realsecure module on one particular server I couldn't restart Apache
(httpd -k start). I received the following error:

httpd stopping.

httpd: module

"/mnt/builds/Laphretto/ServerSensor/build_7.0.2003.248_build/source/Real
Secu

re/Sensor_dll/ServerSensor/rsApachePamModule/Apache_2/mod_realsecure2.cp
p"

is not compatible with this version of Apache.

Please contact the vendor for the correct version.

To restart Apache I had to comment out the realsecure entries within
httpd.conf. I raised the problem with ISS technical support and they
told me that I needed to re-compile Apache with mod_ssl, however, this
doesn't explain the other Solaris servers I have all running Apache with
the realsecure module (and without mod_ssl). Any advice much
appreciated?

Thanks,

Paul
