Good day, list. Does anyone know any ISS's publications, how-tos, etc. about DB tuning to avoid performance bottleneck, hardware resources squander? What RAID is the best for datafiles, transaction log or it is right to place them on the same disk (I assured that placing datafiles and transaction log on the same disk is not good)? Should I store tempDB separately from RealSecureDB, on another disk? How mach can it grow, when? Recently I've found that my tempDB has 20Gb size! Why does it happen? Is it normal situation?
I heared that ISS has draft of docuent about DB tuning. Is it right? When that document become available? Thanks to all.
