You need to run setup.exe to generate the response file. Use winzip or a similar
utility and extract RSServerSensor70.exe to a directory. Inside this directory will
be all the setup files including setup.exe - then do "setup.exe -pc:\responsefile.rsp"

Subject: [ISSForum] Autorecord and silent install of Server Sensor

I've attempted to use the -p switch to do an autorecord of a server sensor
installation without any luck. Supposedly you can do a command like:
"RSServerSensor70.exe -pc:\responsefile.rsp" and the installation will
create a response file to be used to provide all of the information when
performing subsequent installs therefore no interaction by the person
installing the product. This is documented as an available feature in the
Server Sensor 7 installation guide yet it never works for me. I use the -p
switch and the installation proceeds yet no response file is ever created.
Our purpose for this is simple - we want to create an unattended install
that our Systems Administrators can use when setting up new machines.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
