I think what you need is an assesment tool (Internet Scanner for
example), run a D3 o D2 scan and you will obtain the IP Address, NetBios
Name, Group and services. Discovery Scans are for unlimited number of IP
addresses but you will need a licence to enable this option......

Subject: [ISSForum] Custom Signature Question

A workgroup with a derogatory name keeps appearing on our network. We
have been trying to track it down with no success. Is possible to write
a signature for network sensor to get us the name or IP of this machine?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Kpb
