Hello,

The easiest way to install the RealSecure Server Sensor on Debian is to manualy copy the entire content of /opt/ISS into the same folder on the Debian box and also put the init scripts (rsma and realsecure) into /etc/init.d/ . If you already have the SS installed on some RedHat machine you should tar the entire /opt/ISS and untar it to /opt/ISS on the Debian machine. Finaly, copy the rsma and realsecure init script from the /etc/rc.d/init.d/ folder of RH machine to /etc/init.d/ folder on the Debian box. Your Debian kernel version is 2.4.18-bf2.4, right? If yes, then copy the /opt/ISS/lib/up/rs.o.2.4.18-14 file to /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/iss/rs.o and run the FixKsyms tool from the /opt/ISS/lib/ folder ( /opt/ISS/lib/FixKsyms -v /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/iss/rs.o ). Create the folder /var/lock/subsys/ . Chmod +x the two init scripts of /etc/init.d and run them. It should work. In my case, it did.

Good luck.
