Naushad,

If the device count has been used up by a previous user (perhaps without your
knowledge) and the IP that you are selecting to run a scan on is unique and therefore
taking you out of compliance, you can get this message.

There is currently not a direct way to determine what specific IP was used previously
in order to know what was burned contrasted to what is still available to use. An
unclear way to determine previous IP (device) "burn in" if this is what has taken
place would be to look at the database through the GUI and record all of the IPs shown.

However, if the user that burned those IPs purged the database or switched off of a
custom database, those IPs will not be either evident or complete as shown in the
database you may be currently working from.

Subject: [ISSForum] License Issue with Internet Scanner

Hi!

We have internet scanner license with 256 IP. But when I try to run scan on

single machine it gives error "Out Of Compliance The device count has

exceeded the device limit for one or more licenses". What could be the

problem?

Regards

Naushad
