Does everyone know the actual difference is in the Proventia A and G-series?

I know that A is a sensor-type the comes en several models depending on speed, cabling
and number of interfaces, and G is an in-line box that currently exists in two
versions.

But, are they able to detect and block exactly the same traffic? If we want to kill
ex. Messenger in and out of our firewall (2 MB/sec on the outside), should we then go
for a G or an A-box - or is there actually not that much difference in that case,
except from the way they are connected and the price?

JNR
