Have a look at http://www.worldtimezone.com/wtz-names/timezonenames.html
UTC is the coordinated universal timecode which is the same as GMT (Greenich Mean time) if i am not utterly wrong (i have problems with this, too, from time to time, when analyzing logfiles that are timestamped with utc).
If i guess correctly from your name that IST in your case means "India standard time" and not Irish, Israeli or Iran time, then your IST is UTC +0530

I have configured to do automatic database maintenance through siteprotector Sitedatabase properties option.
It is scheduled to occur every friday. On the configuration screen , i need to set the time. However the time setting option available is in UTC.
