Upgrading to Firmware 1.2 I take it? I'm assuming that you're using the ISS disk which contains the updated firmware. This disk is bootable so you'll need to make sure that your boot order is correct in the G's BIOS. When you power up the machine go into the setup (F2) and arrow over to the Boot section. Make sure that the CDROM is the 1st boot device. Then try to boot from the disk. The disk should bring you to a shell prompt where you'll type reinstall. A couple of minutes later you'll reboot again and go through the configuration via terminal emulation. The HTTD will start and you'll be able to manage the appliance from your browser.

This software contains the local management through the GUI, which the older version that is currently installed doesnt. I have put the CD in the drive, but how do I upgrade it ? Tried logging on as root, and typing reinstall etc. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list [email protected] TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328. _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list [email protected] TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328.
