Dear all,
One of our customers is facing a problem in adding the Proventia M50
firmware 3.5 to the SiteProtector, the Poventia M50 was already added to
an old SiteProtector SP5.2 but after that he did a new installation of
the SiteProtector SP6 "Fresh Installation not Update", he couldn't add
the Proventia M50 to the SiteProtector while doing the following steps:
1. Using the Proventia Manager
2. System -> Management
3. And Check "Register With SiteProtector" and "Local Settings
Override SiteProtector Group Settings"
4. In the Desired SiteProtector Group For appliance, he types the
name of the group.
5. Leave the default value for the heartbeat interval
6. And in the agent manager configuration:
a. Authenticatioh Level: First-time-trust
b. Name: the exact agent manager name
c. Agent manager address: the IP address of the agent
manager
d. Port: the default value
e. There's no Proxy between the M50 and the SP so he's not
using it
f. He's not using the authentication between Agent Manager
and the M50
Than he saves this configuration and wait a while but the M50 doesn't
appear in the SiteProtector at all, so he right-click the group M50 and
choose New -> Agent and he enters the IP address of the M50 and than
click Add, than Next and than chooses the Event Collector and
Automatically Register Agent and the attached error appears.
Notice that the Proventia M50 is working well without any problems; just
we couldn't add it to be managed from SiteProtector.
Please Advice us what to do so we can fix this problem as soon as
possible.
