But to clarify, we do report the error in the error log. Putting it in the
query status (and setting query state to exception) would mean that the query
failed, which is also problematic for the reason alluded to in IMPALA-3710. It
looks like Greg and Matt had gone back and forth a bit on this, maybe [~grahn]
has more context on that decision.
