It turns out many of those failures are because the custom post-data load steps
don't issue REFRESH or "INVALIDATE METADATA" after adding files or tables. The
automated tests restart the cluster to run end-to-end tests so it isn't an
issue there, but locally i didn't restart or run an invalidate.
