LZO support was removed from the Impala development environment in IMPALA-9709,
more than 3 years agot, effectively ending support for LZO compression.
The Impala-lzo repo received the last commit at about the same time, for
IMPALA-3741.
Despite this, even the current Impala docs list LZO compression as supported in
several locations:

lists LZO as supported,

https://impala.apache.org/docs/build/plain-html/topics/impala_txtfile.html#lzo
describes how to create them,
* https://impala.apache.org/docs/build/plain-html/topics/impala_orc.html says
that LZO compression is suuported for ORC files,
* while https://impala.apache.org/docs/build/plain-html/topics/impala_orc.html
states that LZO compression is not available for Parquet files.
It would be worth reviewing Impala docs for LZO references and align the docs
with current Impala functionality.
