I've bumped the job to a different label, which uses a current stock Ubuntu
image instead of the preconfigured one. Since this change the job has been
working without problems.
The preconfigured image was baked in 2024. Something may have changed in the
package repo infrastructure, and the prebaked image's configuration may have
become outdated.
For a better fix I should rebuild the preconfigured images, using the latest
published base images.
