Having reviewed a bit more I don't see any tests to cover the suggested new
functionality of using the OpenWireFormat options as opposed to the current
XStream based option. Also I'm not sure that it's necessary to deprecate the
constructors and other methods as opposed to just removing them as there
shouldn't be any external code using these constructs that I'm aware of.
