Description: 5.16.0 has been updated to be runtime compatible with Java 8+
including Java 11 and this is the Jira to allow build compatibility with JDK 11
as well. I'm targeting 5.17.0 for this as it will make it easier if we remove
Scala and LevelDB support. (was: 5.16.0 has been updated to be runtime
compatible with Java 8+ including Java 11 but I think it would also be a good
idea to be able to build 5.16.x using JDK 11 while keeping Java 8
compatibility.)
