In Artemis Console you need to provide the "Artemis user name" and "Artemis
password" in the "Preferences" panel.
I was not aware of that as in ActiveMQ5 such configuration is not needed.
Once I entered that data, the function was properly working.
This is properly explained with the help button on "Send Messages".
Perhaps this specific error message can be extended with "please verify the
username+password in the Preferences panel"...
