Matt Pavlovich commented on AMQ-5548:
-------------------------------------

The impact of using Virtual Destinations is straight forward. The impact is
linear to the number of queues and topic subscribers included in the virtual
destination rule. If there is a rule to copy a message from one queue to 2
queues, it will incur 2x the disk I/O, and 2x the outbound network I/O.

Statistically, the enqueue and dequeue counts of the Virtual Destination
_target_ queue or topic are reflected correctly and can be used to monitor the
performance of the broker.

> I am using Virtual destination in my setup and was looking for any statistics
> broker can provide about them, but am unable to find so. It would be nice if
> we have this feature as then we can have a check on what kind of usage and
> performance impact these Virtual Destinations create.
