-----------------------------------------
@[~mattrpav], Thank you for your reply.
> What is the goal here? Are you looking for a new assembly build for ActiveMQ
> releases?
The goal is to add IBM Linux on Z (s390x) to the CI so that it would help us
identify issues at earliest when newer changes are introduced into the repo.
For the assembly build, do you mind elaborating further?
> Does Java on z/OS support running the activemq-unix.tar.gz directly? Or is it
>Linux on Z?
Thanks for asking, it is Linux on Z. Currently I can use
apache-activemq-5.16.1-bin.tar.gz file from
[http://archive.apache.org/dist/activemq/] and java openjdk 8 to successfully
run the web console.
> Does Apache INFRA have access to a s390x for CI?
We are ready to provide vm, if it is needed. There is also already an issue
opens at https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-21433 by one of my
colleagues that aims to add s390x CI to Apache Infra setup.
> Consider adding IBM Z (s390x) into Apache ActiveMQ Jenkins CI

> Hi,
> I would like to add support for IBM Z (s390x) into Apache ActiveMQ Jenkins
> CI. Currently I can use 5.16.1 tar.gz file from
> [http://archive.apache.org/dist/activemq/] and java openjdk 8 to successfully
> run the web console. Wondering what is the process I should follow to add CI
> support for s390x? Happy to discuss and help with the process. Thanks.
