I see you changed it back in

though that broke the build due to changing the source value too without
additional changes needed as discussed earlier on this PR.
I see the particular compilation failure was on access to some RMI related
bits that has been closed off. I hit similar thing in some Artemis tests when
changing the source level there, for different classes/packages but it shows
generally what I did for Java 11 and Java 16+ to get things working:
