Justin Bertram commented on ARTEMIS-3683:
-----------------------------------------
If you're starting a broker with an acceptor listening on port {{5001}} and the
broker starts without error but it's not actually listening on port {{5001}}
then something is definitely broken somewhere. If the problem is in the broker
then other users (e.g. myself) should be able to reproduce it. Can you provide
me steps to reproduce this behavior you're seeing? If not, that suggests the
problem is not with the broker but instead with the environment and in that
case there's not much I can do to help.
In any case, if you want to use the core client to connect to a broker using
SSL then you simply need to specify the required SSL-related parameters in the
URL (similar to what you're already doing on your {{acceptor}} using SSL). You
can find more details in [the
documentation|https://activemq.apache.org/components/artemis/documentation/latest/configuring-transports.html#configuring-netty-ssl].

> I am facing below issue when I am trying to start up the broker using 2.18.
> It looks it is complaining about the {{acceptor}} "cluster" in
> {{broker.xml}}. My other server was facing the same issue while starting the
> server the first time, but when I re-tried starting the server again it
> worked. Both server are configured the exact same way.
> {{broker.xml}} (networking {{acceptor}} block attached for reference):

> (Linux) that supports it -->
> <!-- amqpCredits: The number of credits sent to AMQP producers -->
> <!-- amqpLowCredits: The server will send the # credits specified at
> amqpCredits at this low mark -->
> <!-- Note: If an acceptor needs to be compatible with HornetQ and/or
