Justin Bertram commented on ARTEMIS-4060:
-----------------------------------------

[~afrink], there's been some delays related to a new {{upgrade}} command that
we introduced to help users migrate from older versions especially since 2.27.0
is introducing a new logging implementation. I hope to get the release up for a
vote today or tomorrow.

In the mean-time you can mitigate any problems related to CVE-2022-42889 by
following these steps:
# Stop the broker.
# Remove {{lib/commons-text-1.9.jar}}.
# [Download Commons Text
1.10.0|https://search.maven.org/remotecontent?filepath=org/apache/commons/commons-text/1.10.0/commons-text-1.10.0.jar].
# Copy the downloaded {{commons-text-1.10.0.jar}} to the {{lib}} directory.
# Start the broker.

> Upgrade Commons Text to 1.10.0

> Apache Commons Text versions prior to 1.10.0 are vulnerable to
> [CVE-2022-42889|https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-42889], which
> involves potential script execution when processing untrusted input using
> {{{}StringLookup{}}}. Direct and transitive references to Apache Commons Text
> prior to 1.10.0 should be upgraded to avoid the default interpolation
> behavior.
