useJmx="true" is there for my embedded-activemq.xml configuration in the
<broker> node and this configuration gives me that NPE when I start broker
asynchronously.
It doesn't seem right to have broker instance fail like this with a
semantically correct configuration. If async and useJmx are not compatible,
then it's much easier for the configuration administrator to understand what's
going on if the error would be thrown with a message about incompatibility. As
this current behavior with NPE does not give any clue on what was done
incorrect.
Would appreciate if you consider this as an improvement then, if you don't
think it is enough of a bug.
