---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you Justin for your answer but it does not work as expected on my side.
Here is what I did :
* On my workstation (Debian 12), I start two instances of Artemis, clustered
and ha shared store, primary on localhost:61616 and backup on localhost:61716.
* I gracefully stop primary broker (Ctrl + C). I see in backup broker log that
it correctly detects primary backup shutdown (see attachment) but then I expect
backup broker to become active, which it does not. In backup broker JMX,
parameter {{Active}} is still {{false}} and my JMS client can not create
session factory with backup broker.
Did I do something wrong ? I attach my primary and backup brokers config.

> Impossible to set failover-on-shutdown to true when ha policy is shared store

> When I set the parameter {{failover-on-shutdown}} to {{true}} in the element
> {{/configuration/core/ha-policy/shared-store/primary}} of broker.xml, it is
> not taken into account and remains false (which is default value) at runtime.
> By contrast, it works perfect when broker is backup instead of primary.
> The same problem exists when I try to update this parameter value via JMX in
> Web console at runtime.
> Priority set to major as I do not see any workaround to make primary broker
> fail over to back up in case of graceful shutdown.
