I'm not able to reproduce this. To document what I did
* created new account for marcus-user5
* confirmed account
* as an admin I approved the account by giving the gateway-user role
* logged in as marcus-user5
* created experiment, Gaussian, in Default Project
* selecting comet brought up the compute resource details as expected
