Marcus Christie commented on AIRAVATA-3528:
-------------------------------------------

- allow to specify a regular expression with capturing groups to match lines of
the text file
- template with capture groups for the output value
-- no template then whole matching line will be displayed, which I think was
the behaviour in AIRAVATA-2625
- pre and post static values
-- would allow creating a header and footer in the displayed values
- html or text output
- limit the number of matches, for example if only the first one is needed

> output viewer to derive and present value(s) in text files

> We had a similar capability before, see AIRAVATA-2625. The goal is to be
> able to configure the display of some key values from a given text file.
> This can likely be implemented as an output view provider that can be
> configured with patterns to look for in a text file.
