Thanks Nate, for weighing in. We're interested and motivated to help implement
this, and do as much of the work as we can; we've got Yussuf and Ayappan (who
have opened and commented here), and a couple others available as well. We can
divide up the work and put time into this, once we've built confidence that we
are approaching it in a way that you and the community agree with. I've also
separately been in contact with Doug R at Hortonworks about this subject area.
Yussuf has done some initial hands-on patch experimentation, but probably not
anything quite yet for submitting as a formal proposed change to review.
He and I will discuss off-line soon and we'll update as we are ready.
