Chris Hupman commented on AMBARI-10681:
---------------------------------------

I ran into this issue on Ubuntu 16.04 installing version 2.6.0.0-267. I agree
that /boot/efi should not be included as a default recommendation. There is
also a
 [Stack Overflow issue
|https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43864376/hortonworks-hdp-2-6-namenode-install-issue-via-ambari]
that references this problem as well.

> Created a new Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server install for Ambari 2.0 (ambari-server)
> deployment.
> During cluster deployment, Ambari recommends configuration settings for
> component services (e.g. HDFS, YARN, etc), which include the Boot partition /
> EFI Boot partition ('/boot/efi/') as a default recommended deployment target
> base path for services.
> - Ambari should not include the boot partition ('/boot') as a valid base path
> in its recommended configurations.
> - Ambari should include the root partition ('/') as a valid base path in its
> recommended configurations.
