Tyler Auerbeck commented on AMBARI-23249:
-----------------------------------------
To be clear, the Ambari Metrics Grafana does support LDAP integration. It's
just that the Ambari configuration doesn't support configuring the ldap.toml
file inside of the UI. After specifying the path on the file system to the
ldap.toml file, you have to manually log on to the appropriate system and
create/configure this file yourself.
What would be ideal is that there was a configuration in the .ini section that
asked you whether you wanted to use LDAP and then asks for a path to create the
ldap.toml at. Ambari could then take those inputs and configure the .ini file
appropriately. The other part of this would be another section for the
ldap.toml that allows you to configure your template appropriately. I think
this is the minimum that would be required to manage this easily.
