amarnath reddy pappu created AMBARI-24239:
---------------------------------------------

             Summary: Repositories for os type redhat6 are not defined for
version xxxx
                 Key: AMBARI-24239
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-24239
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ambari-server
    Affects Versions: 2.6.1
            Reporter: amarnath reddy pappu

If repos version is registered for RHEL satellite repos, it errors out "No
package found for service_$

{stack_version}
" when try to install the binaries.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Take VDF file Ex:2.6.4
2. Select "Use RedHat Satellite/Spacewalk" and save it.
3. Now try and install the binaries - it gives error message as "
Repositories for os type redhat6 are not defined for version 2.6.4.0-91 of
Stack HDP-2.6."

Root cause: If you go back and see the repo version - it is not saving the os
information - it shows the screen like attached

This issue is not being observed in 2.6.2 version.

Workaround:
In Register version screen
1. Use the VDF , enter the URLs , don't select " RedHat Satellite/Spacewalk"
option and save it.
2. Once saved - again go inside and now select " RedHat Satellite/Spacewalk"
option and save it.

Now should be able to install the binaries
