--------------------------------
I’m more interested in approach 2. I have front-end development experience, and
while Ember.js is still actively maintained, its ecosystem isn’t as mature as
some of the more modern frameworks. Ember tends to work with ember-cli, which
feels like its own isolated ecosystem. This makes it harder to take advantage
of the broad loader/plugin support from Webpack or Rollup, and integrating it
with modern testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines can also be a challenge.
Honestly, this is the first Ember project I’ve worked on, and I haven’t come
across many projects using it. I’m sure other front-end developers feel the
same. I don’t have anything against Ember.js, but I think refactoring the
application with a modern framework would bring more benefits and attract more
interest from other developers.
