Peter Lawrey commented on MRM-1103:
-----------------------------------

Installed Archiva 1.1.2 with the same conf and data directories and this does
run the build.

The number of sockets open peaks at about 700. About half of these are to the
proxy server. The lowest number of connections after the build starts is about
100 socket connections.

The number of connections to proxy server stays high for about 2 minutes after
the build has finished. (Between 44 - 405 sockets)

> One of our two archiva servers does appear to close file descriptors.

> We have two archiva servers. One gets "Too many files open" after a few days
> (a few hundred builds) and has to be restarted.
> However the second server fails to even perform one build.
> If you see the attached file you can see archiva exhausts all of it file
> descriptors in under a minute. After that the server has to be restarted.
