I downloaded the archetype for a consumer from
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/archiva/sandbox/archiva-consumer-plugin-archetype/
The archetype has some minor issues:
1. The package name created for the 2 classes is hard-coded to
org.example.consumer
2. The class PlexusTestCase cannot be resolved due to a missing dependency
3. There are transitive dependencies that cannot be resolved, specifically
maven-plugin-api:2.1-SONATYPE-653485 and maven-model:2.1-SONATYPE-653485
