Brett Porter commented on MRM-875:
----------------------------------
Some have suggested this be in the form of a ZIP.
I think we can add two features:
- ability to "add more artifacts with different classifiers" to the form
- ability to just upload a ZIP file. The format would be a flat directory of
artifacts, each named with their final name
([artifactId]-[version]-[classifier].[type]), eg archiva-webapp-1.4.war. This
assumes you don't have any artifact ID clashes. I'd expect while there's no
specific constraint, that ZIPs will tend to cover a single group ID anyway.
For the ZIP, an alternative format I considered was to use a repository layout
- however in this case most users will have the ability to unpack it straight
onto the repository filesystem instead.

> Just a suggestion. In cases like uploading 10 or more artifacts, it's hassle
> uploading 1 artifact at a time.
