Project-level metadata not deleted after artifact removal

I'm using the default configuration of Archiva for the repositories (internal
and snapshots).
When I delete a release artifact using the web interface, I can still browse to
it but the download box is empty.
When I delete a snapshot artifact using the web interface, I can still browse
to it but the download box is still here with the download links. (If I click
the one of the link, I get an "unavailable resource" error.)
