Olivier Lamy commented on MRM-1591:
-----------------------------------
Hello,
Yup xml/rpc api won't be here anymore in 1.4 (removed for the coming 1.4-M3).
Note all rest services are here to manage users with rest.

> Hello,
> I'd like to ask you for few informations about Archiva API possibilities.
> Previously (I think with Archiva 1.2.x) , we have been using our own patch
> for extending XML/RPC Api, because our need is to handling user management in
> Archiva with external tool.
> Now we are working on Archiva upgrade (probably to 1.3.x, but it depends on
> API situation in Archiva). The problem is, that situation is little bit
> unclear for us. We have found this one nice patch
> (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1481) which exposes Redback XML/RPC API,
> we have tried it, with Archiva 1.4-M2, but it doesn't work for us. What is
> the correct syntax for calling these Redback API methods thru xmlrpc?
> Anyway, this issue here - [remove xml rpc
> services|http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1566] sounds little bit
> disturbing for me :) So, what is the plan for future? Get rid of XML/RPC and
> continue with REST?
