Chris Harris created MRM-1674:
---------------------------------
Summary: While creating admin account, entering invalid password
yields no error message
Key: MRM-1674
URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1674
Project: Archiva
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Users/Security, Web Interface
Affects Versions: 1.4-M3
Environment: Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 64-bit, Firefox 15.0.1,
.war on Tomcat 7.0.30 (base separated from installation), PostgreSQL 9.2 for
FileSystem, DataStore, and PM.
Reporter: Chris Harris
This bug applies to a fresh Archiva web app installation.
I tried creating an admin account with the following credentials:
U - admin
P - admin
Upon form submission, nothing happened. I was pretty confused and thinking
that there was something wrong with my users database in PostgreSQL. Upon
closer inspection, I noticed that there was a vertically compressed red/green
(can't remember) frame, with missing error message inside of it, at the top of
the screen. I then tried a more complex password, which was accepted. I was
immediately logged in with no empty error message boxes at the top of the
screen.
