This was an error in the documentation. The docs for 1.4-M4 said to use repo
path ..../archiva/repository/internal/ instead of .../repository/internal/. PUT
wasn't supported by the URL because the URL was wrong : - (
Eric Barboni fixed the docs on Mar 6 with commit
