After upgrading from version 1.3.5 to 2.1.1 it is not possible to log in with
the admin user. The archiva.log shows a message indicating this behaviour:
"user admin not validated". The same applies for the guest user.
The reason is, that this account is a permanent account and not flagged as
"validated" in the existing user database.
The solution for me was to login with another account with admin permissions
and check the "validated" box.
